Haygun
Haygun found out about Hoots through the poetry scene right around the time the Whitehaus was founded, proving himself a dedicated audience member, unpredictable performer and all around intense individual. After spending several months touring North America as technical director for basketball’s losingest team, The Washington Generals, he returned to Boston spun-out and addicted to upheaval. He claims the Haus was the only place he could maintain a regular sleep cycle and since renting the green couch in the Wall room, he has become a perennial resident and go-to sound tech/ stage manager for shows at the Haus and beyond. He is allergic to dust, pollen and animal dander everywhere in the world- except here.

This is a recording of “Get Closer,” captured at the Boston Poetry Slam at the Cantab Lounge on the night the Bruins won the Stanley Cup. If you listen closely you can hear the crowd upstairs cheering.
