Lindsay Clark

l

Early adopter of the Treehaus hootenannies. First-year Whitehaus resident. Enchanter of witches and wizards and waywards and wizeneds. Lindsay has left the East Coast for her native West, and JP will never be the same.

“I grew up in the mountains; in this aspect I relate to all mountains, including the Appalachians, the Sierra Nevadas, the Rockies, even the Lovozero Tundras in Russia. By singing, writing, and performing, I aim to make something simple, clear, and direct out of the complex and ever-changing web that makes up our lives. I use music as a gap-bridging and problem solving art, to create greater joy and peace in my life. I gravitate toward folk music — Appalachian, country, jazz, and classical-inspired songs with grounded words and traveling melodies. I am a piano, banjo, guitar, and violin player, but I feel my voice is the most natural and self-affirming instrument I have come to own.”

WFR010: Lindsay Clark: Thistles

Already a country classic – limited handmade edition. Skinny dipping in some pond you’ve never been to, the bugs sound strange. Someone’s cooking bacon on the fire. What a pretty table cloth! A mass of cedar waxwings attacking highbush cranberries, through big speakers. I am hungry, and then I am not.
